✦ Our Story
James Lott's grandfather bought an existing cleaners — Mercury Cleaners, on Second Avenue near the fairgrounds in South Dallas — in 1939. James's father, back from serving in the Merchant Marines in World War II, bought it from him around 1950 and ran it for over 30 years. James bought the business from his father in 1982. When the neighborhood around the shop declined, James sold that Dallas location in 2009. After a couple of years away from the trade, a contact from the dry-cleaning supply business tipped him off that a cleaners in Parker County was for sale — James bought it in 2012. He's personally been in the dry cleaning business since 1976, and his son works alongside him today.
